What is an escape room?
After entering the room with your team, the countdown clock begins. You must work together to uncover clues and use your problem solving skills in order to solve a series of logic based team challenges in order to escape.
Do I need any special knowledge or skills?
Reason is grounded in science. Expect to acquire new skills as you progress through the stories but no prior knowledge or technology experience are required for you to be successful in our Sci-fi missions.
Will I be mixed with strangers?
No! Our bookings are private so we do not sell individual tickets or mix strangers in pick-up games.
How many players can your accommodate?
For virtual experience, Gatewayº can accommodate 6-100 players; while Moonshotº and Patagoniaº 12-100.
What if I have a big group?
No problem! For In-person events, we can host up to 125 participants in 2 hours across Glitch, Mars, and Sonar.
For virtual events, we can host up to 300 participants across Moonshot, Gateway, and Patagonia. Check out escape room for large groups.
Is it suitable for children?
Reason is great for children, especially those with a keen interest in science and technology. We do require minimum one adults to be present with minors. Check out our escape room for kids.
Im down! How much does it cost?
Our remote games range from $27 – $30/pp, and our in-person games range from $40-$52/pp.
What is the cancellation policy?
All sales are final and non-refundable.
One time courtesy reschedule possible up to 7 days before event date.
No rescheduling possible for no shows or last minute cancellations.
Can we use reason for flex office or offsites?
Yep we provide very reasonable rates for half day or all day flexible office space, offsite venue rental, with the option to play our games, of course. Check out our offsite package for more info.
How early should my team arrive?
Please arrive on time so we can get everyone started!
No need to arrive early before your booking.

Is there parking available?
Metered street parking is available on 11th Street and surface lots nearby as well.
Civic Center BART station is 6 blocks away, Van Ness MUNI station is 3 blocks, and the 11th street bus stop is across the street. Your favorite ride-sharing option is also a good way to get to Reason.
When will physical experiences be back?
They are back! And we’d love to see you again soon.
Can I reserve space for a party after the escape room?
Yes! You can reserve our escape rooms at the base cost if you would like to add on an additional hour for parties. Please contact us for more information and to coordinate setup.
I have an extra person!?
Not a problem! We can update your player count when you arrive and true-up after your booking.
>5 extra people: Shoot us a message in advance in order to ensure the game is set up for the appropriate player count.
Is Reason wheelchair accessible?
Reason is one single, flat level with an ADA accessible bathroom, clear walkways, and doorways between 32″ and 36″ in width. None of our puzzles require crawling or climbing.
